The Ortles Ascent Mid Gore-Tex mountaineering boot is a solid solution for alpinists. Its thick suede upper, SALEWA 3F system with steel wires and reinforced TPU rim make it extra tough and durable, while the stiff insole made of glass and carbon fiber reinforced nylon further increases stability. The dual density expanded polyurethane midsole with custom cushioned zones guarantees you comfort and precision. The interchangeable layers of Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) allow you to customize the footbed of the shoe.

The Vibram Alpine Guide sole is compatible with semi-automatic crampons and provides grip, durability and reliability in difficult terrain and low temperatures. Its overall robustness is a key factor for use with crampons on snow and ice. The tread features self-cleaning lugs for excellent grip and a toe profile designed for climbing with high edge performance.

The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Insulated Comfort membrane has an extra layer of insulation to keep your feet warm and dry on cold winter days in the mountains. An integrated stretch gaiter prevents snow from getting in. The Ankle Protector System (APS) consists of a cuff made of thermoformed material that provides additional lateral support to your ankle, and the Flex Collar improves mobility in the rear ankle area.
